THE GREATNESS OF BLACK LEADERSHIP IN MINNESOTA

Youth from WE WIN Institute presented an evening of acknowledgement, respect, and love, to numerous elders in the Black community on February 27, 2020 at the Black History Month presentation of Assata Speaks. Each of the leaders in attendance spoke to the packed crowd inside Brave New Workshop theater in downtown Minneapolis. The evening was capped off with a keynote speech by Professor Mahmoud El-Kati, who was given an award for his lifetime of service.

Those in attendance that we honored were:

  • Reatha Clark King, Chemist / Former Head of General Mills Foundation

  • Nothando Zulu, Masterstoryteller / President, Black Storytellers Alliance
